This may not come as a surprise but there is no magic wand approach to feeling better. No quick fix. No overnight miracle potion. My approach to therapy is handled with patience, gentleness, and genuineness. We will take baby steps as we work to answer questions and find solutions. True healing takes time, commitment, energy, humility, and awareness. It’s not easy but it’s so worth it.

Supervision, Consulting & Mentoring

Clinical Supervision

I offer individual and group supervision virtually to licensed clinical social workers in North Carolina, in accordance with the North Carolina Social Work and Licensure Board. I offer 50 hours virtually and will assist with helping you find a secondary supervisor if needed to help you complete licensure requirements.

As a supervisor, I provide:

Consulting

I provide consultation to therapists and coaches in all locations and disciplines, especially those who are interested in working with clients with an anti-oppressive lens. I also work with facilitators and administrators of psychedelic medicine and ceremony who want to incorporate more harm reduction in the work and be more mindful of culture and identity (see below).

Psychedelic Integration

Psychedelic-assisted therapy is, for some, an invaluable tool in helping heal trauma, depression and anxiety.

My Offerings:

  • Therapy: I provide pre-integration sessions, post-integration sessions, ceremonial preparation and consultations with clients. This is for clients who desire a safe container to explore IFS parts, altered state experiences, and insights. I cannot provide recommendations on how to access psychedelic and entheogenic medicines, except for ketamine-assisted therapy. I cannot provide integration sessions while you are in an altered state with illegal substances.

  • I also work with women, trans and femme-presenting folks who have been traumatized in/outside of psychedelic space, who need to process harmful or traumatic experiences. My background and professional experience gives me a unique perspective in helping prepare people to better protect themselves going into psychedelic/entheogenic spaces.

  • Consulting: I provide consultation for facilitators, coaches, and therapists who want to blend IFS with psychedelic-assisted therapy. I also offer consultation for those who want to improve IFS skills. Lastly, I provide consultation to those who are interested in doing clinical work with an anti-oppressive lens while being more mindful of culture and identity.

My experience:

I am trained and experienced in the use of psychedelic and entheogenic substances through Field Trip Health Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, SoundMind Institute, Entheonation, DoubleBlind, and others. I’ve been working and studying the use of the medicines to treat trauma since 2021. I take a social justice, harm-reduction approach with a major focus on healing trauma in people who hold marginalized identities, addressing sexual trauma, and childhood trauma.

Tasha Hunter, MSW, LCSW/Ascension Growth Center, PLLC. is not in network with any insurance provider. Payment is due at the beginning of each session.

As an out of network provider, I can assist you with filing your insurance claim by providing a document called a super bill. Filing a claim with your insurance provider does not always guarantee reimbursement. You must contact your insurance provider directly to verify benefits and out of pocket expenses.

$195 per initial intake assessment (80-90 minute session)

$165 individual session (50-60 minute session)

$195 individual session (80-90 minute session)

$300 individual session ( 2 hour session)

$85 for LCSWA supervision (60 minute session)

$65 for LCSWA group (90 minute session)

$165 -$195 LCSW post-licensure consultation or supervision

Payments Accepted:

Cash, Visa, Discover, Mastercard, Flex/HSA. A credit card is required to be kept on file for convenience and to cover no-show appointments.

Benefits of Private Pay:

  • Ability to choose your private, length of treatment, scope, and the type of therapy you receive.

  • No approval or justification needed to therapy services which allows you to meet with the provider of your choice sooner. You also have the freedom to consult with me on non-psychiatric issues without worrying about insurance approving the sessions.

  • Increased privacy and confidentiality ( except for limits of confidentiality). Personal information is kept confidential and not shared with employers or insurance companies.Private pay clients are afforded treatment without having a diagnosis— a psychiatric diagnosis is necessary for insurance companies to pay for treatment. The psychiatric diagnosis becomes a part of your medical record which could be shared with employers, schools, national data banks, and electronic healthcare systems.

  • Private pay clients may often pay less than those using insurance because you won’t have to pay deductibles and copay. Limited sliding scale rates available. Superbills are provided to you for possible reimbursement of costs by your insurance carrier.
